For adults who are in recovery from a major trauma injury including traumatic brain injury and their families. Please note March and April clinics are cancelled due to the coronavirus.
A new Major Trauma Peer Support group is meeting once a month on a Saturday morning at the Royal Preston Hospital Education Centre 1 Café. The meeting is non-clinical where ex-patients and families can talk about what they have been through and share experiences. No booking is required.
Advice available includes:
Welfare benefits including Universal Credit, Employment and Support Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Attendance Allowance
Legal information including personal injury advice and mental capacity information.
Employment advice including sickness leave and adjustments and work.
Care and family supporting each other.
Refreshments and good company free refreshments and support.

Parking – please use the car park next to Education Centre 1 see map on the leaflet at the foot of this page. You do not need to pay just give your registration number to a member of staff when you arrive.
Travelling by bus from Preston City Centre – Bus numbers 19 and 23 both go to Royal Preston Hospital. The cost as at February 2020 is £1.90 single or £3.70 return.
